The Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has issued a strong warning to the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, over his behavior in the House.

According to him, the Minority Leader must learn to conduct himself properly in Parliament.

Ayariga's comment came after the Minority Leader accused the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) of failing to fulfill the many promises it made to Ghanaians during the electioneering campaign.

However, NDC MPs did not take kindly to the accusation or the manner in which the Minority Leader made the comment.

Moved by the remark, the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, stood up and, after catching the Speaker's eye, proceeded to respond to the Minority Leader.

"The Minority Leader should learn to behave properly in this chamber. Please, let's treat each other with respect. You cannot stand here, throw your hands around, and point at us while saying we don't keep our promises. The budget has just been presented; we have not yet considered it or approved it for implementation. You cannot always stand up and talk as if you are superior to everyone in this chamber. Let this be the last time," Mahama Ayariga stated.
