The Atebubu Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Kenneth Baffoe Antwi has showered praises on President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his visionary leadership in transforming Ghana ABC News Ghana can report.

According to the cleric, the president has proved his skeptics wrong by delivering on the several promises he made in the run-up to the 2016 general elections, a feat for which, Apostle Baffoe Antwi believes, the president ought to be praised and eulogized.

He said though many critics of the president were quick to dismiss his promise of Free Secondary education and other social intervention policies at the time, Nana Akufo-Addo’s actions, since his assumption as President of the republic has shamed these critics and alleviated the hardships of several Ghanaians.

“I will take this opportunity to thank you Mr President as a pastor that you made a promise and requested us to pray for you, which we did. When you came to power, you have not disappointed us. You made huge promises in all boldness, and you are fulfilling them in all braveness…. whether people understand it or not, may God bless you,” Apostle Kenneth Baffoe Antwi said at a function observed by ABC News Ghana.

He added that persons without the president’s foresight ignorantly criticise him for such visionary ideas. Apostle Kenneth Baffoe encouraged the president saying “it is better to have an aim, no matter how big or small, than not to have any at all.”

“May God bless your good intentions for urging us to expect greater things. When you said you would give Free SHS Education, we did not understand this promise…….. we asked ourselves how is this possible? But true to your word it has materialized, blessed be your name. As we read Ghanaian history to encourage ourselves, we will be minded of that fact that God once gave us a man named Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who lived and made enormous contributions to the development of Ghana by thinking about the poor and giving an opportunity to everyone to be educated for free,” he said to cheers and an applause from the crowd.

He said Free SHS is a great policy which is appreciated by all except for ‘ungrateful beings’ whom he insists, are only keen on focusing on a few challenges with the implementation of the policy.
