Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), has highlighted the stark differences between the governments of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party.
He stated that the health infrastructural track records of both governments demonstrate that the current administration, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has made greater progress and has had a more significant impact in the sector.
He stated that President Akufo-Addo has initiated hospital construction projects in every district nationwide during his administration, whereas under John Dramani Mahama's government, health facilities were only built in Accra.
Ofosu Nkansah also argued that even if Ghanaians attribute the University of Ghana Medical Center to Mahama, despite it being a project initiated by the late President Atta-Mills, it still wouldn't come close to the achievements of President Akufo-Addo.
“On which President did better with providing Health Infrastructure, President Akufo-Addo has ensured every District is getting a Hospital whereas Fmr Prez Mahama built 3 or 4 big Hospitals in Greater Accra, if we even grant him UGMC which is a Prez Mills project. Some People in Accra will draw conclusions based on 4 facilities in Gt. Accra when one President is touching every Part of the Country. The difference is not even close,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
