The leadership of Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold says the unwarranted arrests of poor customers by police is a calculated attempt to intimidate its members and coerce them to give up on further actions.
In a statement issued by the leadership of these customers noted it’s dissatisfaction with what it described as the “unconstitutional action” of the police.
“We demand an apology from the Police Administration in the unconstitutional arrest and its attendants feeling of harassment by the Police Operations Team.” the statement said.
The aggrieved customers were reportedly arrested when returning from Madina District court after they’d been granted bail by his Lordship, Mr Delali Anku in a case related to a visit to the Trassaco home of Mr Nana Appiah Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Limited.
Customers say, despite their frustration with the police, they will relentlessly explore every constitutional means to ensure that locked up investments are retrieved.
