You may incur military casualties if you use them – Dr. Rasheed Draman to government

The Executive Director of Africa Center for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEP), Dr. Rasheed Draman has stated that the military has no role in our democratic space.

However, Speaking on Starr FM Midday News with Naa Dedei Tettey, Dr. Draman emphasized that the military has no role in our democratic space.

He further explained that the involvement of the military in parliamentary can lead to casualties which would possibly affect our democracy.

“If the military comes in again, maybe if the executive is not careful, there might also be casualties of this military interference in our democratic affairs. The military has no role and has no space near anything in our democratic space,” Dr. Draman stated.

He also further explained that the military’s role is to protect the country and that the civilians should find a way to resolve their differences.
