Tension is enveloping the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) community following the sack of two senior lecturers by the Vice Chancellor, Reverend Father Prof Anthony Afful-Broni, MyNewsGh.com has gathered.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Efutu Constituency in the Central region, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin who is not enthused about developments, has served notice to the current Vice Chancellor that he is digging his own grave and could soon be buried in it.

On a post sighted on his Facebook page, he accused the clergyman of heartless victimization of other senior members of the university wondering why he accused his predecessor of same conduct which led to his removal only to be given the position to do worse than was seen.

He cautioned the Vice Chancellor against engaging in acts that may undermine the reputation of the institution reiterating his resolve to fight wrong decisions until the right thing is done.

The lawmaker who has been concerned about developments at UEW called on, Reverend Father Professor A. Afful-Broni to be mindful of events that led to the sack of professor Mawutor Avoke as Vice Chancellor of the University and not chart the same path

He said “Alhassan Bawa,a lecturer at UEW has been hired by Afful -Broni to attack me . Well I wonder why Afful Broni is refusing to write the articles himself. I know Bawa’s grammar is very poor. Afful -Broni is digging his own trap pit and very soon he will fall deep into it. Time shall speak. Afful-Broni in his cassock and without shame viciously attacked the image of Avoke but time has exposed all the lies. As the inevitable awaits him, he is now using Bawa and a busy body independent candidate to neutralise me through character assassination. Destroying the lives of others can’t be part of any christian virtue. Avoke, Avea Nsoh, Bekoe,Sarpong, Dennis, Kaakyire and Ahmed Jinapor will soon see real justice. In fact many others will see their dignity being restored and it shall be like a dream. The ravening clouds shall not long be victorious. When afful-Broni was busily releasing university documents at dead nights to implicate his boss, was he sacked? When Bawa was writing articles against Avoke, was he sacked? Didn’t Avoke call him to his office to know his concerns? Why such heartless victimization? Aren’t some of these victims Catholics? Aren’t they children of God? How can Afful- Broni crucify Avoke for awarding contracts irregularly and after getting him out turn round to uphold the same contracts and pay more money? Was the motive merely to take over by any means necessary? If tribalism was bad yesterday at UEW then its bad today as well.”
