Some Nzema people have vowed to take back an amount of GHc7 million allegedly given to President Akufo-Addo by the sacked Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng

According to them, the president exhibited bad faith by relieving him of his duties. A group calling itself the Nzemaland Development Association (NDA) has launched an ‘attack’ on President Akufo-Addo for relieving the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST), Alfred Obeng, of his duties.

According to a report by MyNewsGH.com, the group stated that President Akufo-Addo action was an act of bad faith.

The leader of the group, Maame Ama Nyankopa, added that the president appears to be favoring people who are of the same tribe as he is.

She went on to say that even though the then-candidate Nana Addo accepted GHc7 million from Obeng in the course of the 2016 elections, he has exhibited ingratitude towards the man.

Speaking on Okay FM, she said “Alfred Obeng is one of only two Western Region indigenes who are CEOs in this government, only he and Boahen Aidoo, and they have removed him. Look at the many Akyems Akufo-Addo has appointed.

I am not being tribalistic here.” She went on to say that Alfred Obeng had done nothing to warrant such a treatment from the president.
