Ace journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr has lashed out at men of God who claimed to have prophesied the death of renowned broadcaster KABA.

According to the Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, such comments are insensitive and unfair to the bereaved family and friends.

In a video that went viral on the social media, a renowned prophet, Bishop Reindolph Oduro Gyebi was heard prophesying a calamity that will befall the Multimedia family.

In the video the man of God singled out presenters in Multimedia Group appealing to radio pastors of the company to intensify their prayers for the company.

“God protect our pastors. I know that Adom FM has pastors who pray for them. They should step up their pray for Adom and the workers there especially even though we will also commit it to prayer as God has directed. We commit all presenters in Ghana before God any plans by the evil one against them will not succeed”, the Eagle Prophet said.

Another prophet, founder and leader of Glorious Wave church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi also revealed in a radio interview that he foretold KABA of his death when they once met in Joy Fm studio a few months back.

The man of God who is known to have prophesied about things that ended up happening revealed that when he met KABA at the Joy FM studio, he told him of how he has seen death hanging around his neck and beseeched him to visit him for God’s intervention.

According to him, KABA told him he will be visiting very soon for them to talk about it but KABA never showed up.

However speaking on Accra based Peace FM, Kweku Baako warned the Prophets to stop taking advantage of situations.

He wondered why they delight in things such as death and would come out any time an individual is dead to make claims of foreseeing it.

Without mincing words, Kweku Baako described the prophecies regarding KABA’s death as “complete trash”, cautioning the Prophets not to offend the sensibilities of the deceased family.

“An incident has occurred. The family is bereaved. They’re in pain. Then some people now are rising from left, right, center saying I saw it. God spoke to me and I prophesied. It’s a complete trash,” he stated.

KABA passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short sickness on Saturday 18th November.

Until his sudden death, he was the host of popular late afternoon political talk show, Eko Sii S3in on Asempa 94.7 FM.

He was married to Valentina Ofori Afriyie who is also a broadcaster with Accra-based Class FM, having worked many years with Radio Gold and Spirit FM in Kumasi.

He left behind a daughter.
