The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, David Prah has described former President John Mahama as having an “unstable mind” that needs examination.
The attack on Mr Mahama was in response to the Ex-President’s assertions that President Akufo-Addo had failed to live up to expectations.
Despite persistent caution by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah, host of Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ to retract and apologize, Mr Prah refused, saying he was speaking the truth.
He further stated that Mahama is the most “shameless President” who ever ruled Ghana.
“Sometimes I think Mahama is on drugs that’s why as a former president, he can make such comments. He [Mahama] needs psychiatric or mental attention. He may be frustrated, so he deserves no attention from the NPP," he said.
Mahama who was defeated in the 2016 presidential race by President Akufo-Addo has launched a come back with strong competition from members of his government.
Many have tipped him to win the NDC primaries.
The NDC is expected to go to the polls in December 2018 to elect its flagbearer for the 2020 elections.
