Security analyst, Adam Bonaa has criticized the demeanour of the Minority Leader in Parliament Alexander Afenyo-Makin during the vetting proceedings of the first batch of President John Mahama’s ministerial appointees.

Speaking on GHOne TV with Lantam Papanko, Adam Bonaa emphasized that the Minority Leader needs to adjust his tactics and focus on letting his questions stand out rather than his temperament.

Adam Bonaa highlighted his frustrations at what he perceived as a lack of decorum in the House during the vetting, stating that it was difficult to maintain order when Members of Parliament failed to respect the leadership of the committee.

He also stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism in such critical sessions, urging Afenyo-Markin to exercise restraint and show respect for the chairperson.

“If the minority side is going to go this way, it becomes very difficult. This is not what we are paying our members of parliament to do. I have to be very honest. It is very disgusting. I was expecting cool heads. The chairman is in the chair, and everyone must pay attention to the chair. It is his show. Listen to him, and if you disagree, let the others talk. You will be given the opportunity to talk. I think the minority leader needs to up his game by toning down. Don’t want to be noticed let your questions be noticed. His temperament and others were noticed, not his questions”.
