Youth advised to desist from enriching themselves through dubious means

Mr Ekow Ewusie, an Aspiring Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the youth to desist from using dubious means to enrich themselves.

He said it was better the youth pursued their education with seriousness for a brighter future than to use foul means to get rich.

Mr Ewusie said this during a durbar of the chiefs and people of Agona Swedru in the Central Region to climax their Annual Akwambo Festival.

He said he supported the call by the Swedruman Coucil of Chiefs on the youth to stop engaging in “Sakawa,” which could have serious repercussion on them in future.

Mr Ewusie said the Government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was determined to roll out policies and programmes that would create jobs and wealth for the youth.

He said the youth were the future leaders of the country and called on the Government, organisations and individuals to help create an enabling environment for them to live quality lives.

Mr Ewusie donated 4,000 Ghana cedis towards the construction of an Information and Communication Technology ICT) Library initiated by the chiefs and people of the town.

He said when given the nod in the upcoming regional elections, he would ensure that job creation became one of the top priorities.
