Youth asked not to allow themselves, to be misused

Winneba (C/R), Aug.15, GNA- The District Chief Executive for Awutu-Effutu-Senya, Captain Steve Armah has appealed to Ghanaians especially the youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians. He said the country needs peace and unity to develop and therefore urged Ghanaians to ensure that the current peace prevailing in the country was sustained.

Captain Armah said this in an address read for him at the closing of the central region second circle schools cultural festival at Winneba on Friday.

The festival was held to raise a team to represent the region at the National Art and cultural festival at Bolgatanga from August 22-26. He said: "Let us cherish the peace and unity we are enjoying so that we do not find ourselves in situations others are going through in Africa".

On HIV/AIDS, he expressed concern about its alarming rate it is spreading in the central region and called on the people in the region to get involved in the campaign against it.
