Actress Yvonne Nelson and her colleague celebrities onboard the #dumsormustop vigil bandwagon are doing the “dirty work” of the main opposition New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Nelson, rapper Sarkodie and actress Lydia Forson have been christened the #dumsortriumverate after launching a social media campaign against the Government as far as the worsening power crisis, which has persisted for about three years is concerned.
Nelson’s #dumsormustop hashtag has sparked an avalanche of celebrity support and is expected to culminate in a peaceful vigil meant to express the frustrations of Ghanaians concerning the power crisis [dumsor].
Mr Atubiga, whose Supreme Court infamy – being hauled before the court for making contemptuous comments during the hearing of the 2012 election petition and getting jailed for it – propelled him to fame, has taken to social media site Facebook to accuse the trio and their fellow colleagues of doing a hatchet job for Mr Akufo-Addo and the NPP.
He has vowed to launch a boycott campaign against the celebrities, as well as organise people to burn their music and movie videos.
