ZION CHURCH HOLDS CAMP MEETING

A two-day camp meeting of the Winneba District of the A.M.E. Zion church has ended at Agona Asafo in the Central Region. It was under the theme: "The Christian's Life As an Expression of God's Love in Action". In an address, the Bishop's Deputy and Presiding Elder of the Winneba District of the church the Rev. Dr. G.N. Zormelo, called for religious tolerance and peace among the different ethnic groups in the country to ensure the peaceful development of the country, He also called global understanding and unity to end the numerous conflicts in some parts of the world which have brought untold hardships on families. The Rev. Dr. Zormelo appealed to Christians to pay their taxes and take active part in the development of their communities, adding that a true Christian is the one who discharges his civic responsibilities and obeys the laws of God. And at a forum at Kasoa, the Head Pastor of Christian Clear Water Revival Ministry, the Rev. Clifford Dodoo, urged Ghanaians and Christians, in particular, to avoid greed, bribery, corruption and nepotism to promote national development. He said it is when Christians do away with these vices that they would be seen as following the footsteps of Christ. gri
