Zanetor, McBrown, others to be honored on International Day of the Girl Child

As the International Day of the Girl Child approaches, organizers of Africa Professionals Awards are set to honor Member of Parliament for Klottey Korley who doubles as a child rights and sanitation advocate, Hon.Dr Zanetor Rawlings; C.E.O of Media General, Beatrice Agyemang; actress and TV presenter, Nana Ama McBrown; award winning singer and songwriter, Wiyaala; lawyer and sports journalist, Eva Okyere as well as Brigadier General Constance Ama Emefa Adjeani-Afenu.

The rationale behind this year's Girl Child Edition and Honoree event is to create a common platform which is set to bring girls and their professional role models face to face for a mentorship and an Awards ceremony to mark the international day of the girl child.

The event scheduled for Friday 11th October, 2019 , at Accra Girls Senior High School as it venue, is said to prepare the minds of young girls for their selected professions and also empower them for a brighter, better and a more prepared future.

These role models will be mentors and honorees on this special day. These are influential women who are impacting lives of many young women and girls across the globe directly and indirectly and are in active service.

The Awards ceremony will also have guest performances from DJ Switch, Nakeyaat Dramani, Ashley Chucks and many others and will also have breast Cancer and Hand washing activation on the ground. There will be other surprise celebrities who will be present as well.
