Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Eugene Amoah Sampa, the second in command at the Volta Regional Police Training School has appealed to Zoomlion Ghana Limited to sustain the fumigation of institutions across the country.
He said the exercise was necessary for the control of pests in public and commercial environments and must be regularised.
Mr Sampa appealed when Zoomlion took its fumigation of institutions to the Ho Police Training School in a bid to contain the Coronavirus disease and also control pests.
He said the Training School had been battling bedbugs for ages and commended Zoomlion for the exercise, stressing the need for regular fumigation of institutions.
"This is what we should be doing regularly to control pests and viruses so we are appealing to Zoomlion to come here often and visit other institutions too.
" Our 115 recruits will come back for training in a good environment. We are extremely happy and grateful," Mr Sampa said.
The Zoomlion team fumigated the Training School's classrooms, dormitories, and administration block.
Mr Solomon Denyo, Volta Regional General Manager, Zoomlion Ghana Limited said the exercise would be extended to all police posts, police stations, and barracks in the Region.
