Waste management expert, Zoomlion Ghana Limited have reacted to allegations of entering into fraudulent deals with the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA).
Head of Legal Department for Zoomlion, Kwame Gyan strongly refuted claims of financial malfeasance, captured in the report of a committee that investigated reported fraud in contracts awarded by GYEEDA to its service providers.
The report has been submitted to President John Mahama who promised to drastically implement the recommendations in the report.
It named Zoomlion as one of the key service providers who grossly disregarded the procurement law and made unsolicited proposals to GYEEDA for contracts.
But speaking on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM Monday, lawyer Kwame Gyan stated: "We have done nothing wrong" in securing contracts from GYEEDA, describing publication of excerpts of the report intercepted by JOY FM as "not true".
He said even though Zoomlion has not been served a copy of the report yet, they are of strong conviction that what is being published by JOY FM and Myjoyonline.com could have been extracted from a "draft report".
