Ashantis are now getting wiser. I hope they won't continue asserting that the NPP is their party. Disrespecting chiefs but going to the Manhyia palace every time. The NPP has taken Ashantis as some bunch of stupid people. They think even if they insult them, they will still vote for NPP. They have abandoned all the good projects started by the NDC and still they come to the Ashanti Region and get a rousing wellcome. They know that just before voting Ashanti voters need only T-Shirts and a cup of sugar to vote for NPP. Even the pig-mouth NAPO had the audacity to say that Ashantis need only T-Shirts and till now no Ashanti personality questioned him. Suame interchange construction has not even started. Ashantis should travel to Akyem Kyebi and its surroundung areas and see how the place has been developed, though they didn't vote massively for the NPP as "stupid" Ashantis did.

In Kyebi, even the cemetries have tarred paths. All the schools from pre K to SHS have been renovated. The chief's palace has been renovated. Not Kumasi. That is the reward of Akufo Addo and Liarmia, aka Borrowmia.

When The Ga asafoiatsemei called his bluff and showed him this is Ga he refused to alight from the palanquin and so returned back and didn't attend the funeral.

Again the President's office is a security zone and visitors who go there must be prepared to follow what the security officers there tell them to do.If you are not prepared to follow what the security tell you don't go there.There are to do their job and that should not be construed to mean disrespect.

There are so many important issues confronting the country that need very urgent attention.It seems like these chieftancy issues are taking center place in our political discourse.Would somebody he bold enough to spell out the rightful place of this institution as enshrined in our constitution so that a section of the Ghanaian society would not consider themselves to be tingods. Togbe Afede and another chief (name withheld) are the only ones who offer some sort of positive input to our discussions on national issues. Enough of this unnecessary attention seekers.

With exception of few high ranked dignitaries like the Otumfuo, each and every one is subjected to the same protocol. So do you think if Mahama were to be the President, they will allow you guys to be there without following protocol? Some of you guys are trying to show your true color and the party you really belongs to. It's not fair Some of these criticisms. In totality, l think NPP has done far far better than NDC in the development of Ashanti Region as a whole. Ashanti is not only Kumasi, and so let's be careful about what we wish for.
