You see, the problem with you certain gang of irresponsible and uncultivated Ghanaians, it IS taboo that a person must be disciplined, honest and objective. He then becomes an enemy! You're a bandit, and since he confronted bandits in the police, you all hate him.

Dampare changed the outlook of the useless, dastardly police department, and he's our hero. He has been the only IGP with a clear vision. All others before him were very rotten and clueless about security exigencies of our country.

Even if one was overdue for promotion and he is retiring and the person is not his friend, he would rather shoot forward the date of the next promotion of the course intake of that officer so that his date of promotion would precede the date of promotion that he was overdue. Mere wickedness. So why won't officers rejoice over his removal from office. He should go home to reflect on how he treated officers who served under him and were not his friends. Such a position is not meant for show of power and discrimination. He should sit back and learn his lessons from the new IGP who is more competent and generous.
