President John Mahama (5,574,761 votes = 50.70%) has been declared winner of the 2012 presidential race over Nana Akuffo-Addo (5,248,898 votes = 47.74%), by the electoral commission.

"Ladies and gentlemen, based on the results given, I declare John Dramani Mahama president-elect," electoral commission chief Kwadwo Afari-Gyan told journalists.
