The Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC), Nana Akomea, has announced that he resigned from his position more than two weeks ago, addressing critics who continue to claim that he remains in office despite a change in government.

Speaking during a panel discussion on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on February 11, 2025, Nana Akomea expressed surprise at the ongoing allegations, clarifying that his departure was official and widely acknowledged within the company.

“I saw on social media that Nana Akomea is still at STC. Doing what there? I was surprised and I laughed it off because I had resigned, and we had a big party at STC. I received a lot of gifts,” he stated.

His remarks come in response to persistent claims suggesting that he was still holding onto his position at STC despite the transition in government.

However, Nana Akomea insisted that his resignation was formalized and celebrated by colleagues within the company.
