The Chairman of Groupe Ndoum, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association Samuel Brew-Butler have been invited by FIFA as part of a five man delegation for a meeting in Zurich to put in place interim measures to allow the continuation of football in Ghana.

Dr. Ndoum and Mr. Brew-Butler will represent the football clubs in Ghana while Mr. Kweku Eyiah and Mr. Alex Asante will represent the Ghana Football Association. Government will be represented by Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah.

The meeting follows a similar one held in Ghana on Friday, June 22, 2018, in Ghana to resolve the current crisis that has temporarily halted football in the country.

An email sent by FIFA to the Sports Minister stated that the “meeting in Zurich will be a continuation of our discussions in Accra. This is an important step in FIFA’s efforts to put in place interim measures to allow the continuation of football in Ghana. In this respect, this meeting will serve as opportunity to consult you and other stakeholders on this process.”

We would like to thank you for our meeting at your offices on Friday 22 June 2018. Based on our discussions and as indicated in the statement following the meeting in Accra, we invite you and your delegation to a meeting at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday 28 June 2018 at 14:00.

Our meeting in Zurich will be a continuation of our discussions in Accra. This is an important step in FIFA’s efforts to put in place interim measures to allow the continuation of football in Ghana. In this respect, this meeting will serve as opportunity to consult you and other stakeholders on this process.

Mr Eyiah Kweku Abaku and Mr. Alex Asante will represent the Ghana Football Association at the meeting. Please note that Mr. Asante will also meet with members of the FIFA administration so that they can facilitate the participation of the Ghana U-20 women’s national team at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018 (5 – 24 August 20181).

Additionally, the Ghana elite league clubs will be represented by Mr. Samuel Brew-Butler and Mr. Papa Nduom at this meeting.

Due to a previous FIFA commitment, I will not be able to attend the meeting. However, my colleagues in the FIFA Member Associations Division and the Member Associations Governance Services Department are well-aware of the situation in Ghana. They will ably lead the meeting and facilitate the discussions. I am confident that the meeting will be positive and led to progressive development from the current situation.

Thank you for confirming your availability for the meeting on Thursday 28 June. If you and your delegation need invitation letters for visa purposes, please send your passport details and itineraries to my colleague Solomon Modege fsolorriOn.modege@fifa.Org). Should you require accommodation while in Zurich, we will gladly arrange your hotel rooms and local transportation in Zurich at our cost.

We look forward to our meeting and remain at your disposal for any further information that you may require. Yours sincerely, FIFA
