200 Players Battling To Sign For Wassaman United

Footyghana.com has learnt that over two hundred players have registered for Wassaman United’s ongoing justify-your-inclusion exercise in Accra, in a bid to win playing contracts with the club.
The club’s General Manager, Kurt Okraku told footyghana.com that so many players have turned up at the Police Depot that incoming head coach Herbert Addo has a huge task on which players to pick.
‘We have been kept very busy by the high levels of interest shown by players wanting to play for the club in the Premier League. Herbert Addo now has a huge task in picking the right players.’
Okraku also told footyghana.com that the club was grateful that the PLB has extended the transfer deadline date for them by 5 days.
‘We would have been in trouble is we had to follow the dealinf of Friday September 16 2011 to register our players, given that it took a long time for our promotion to be confirmed. So we are grateful that the PLB has extended the deadline for us to September 21 2011.’
Wassaman United will begin its Premier League campaign on October 9 in Kpando against Heart of Lions, after which it plays at home in Sekondi against Berekum Arsenal a week later.
