The relegation battle in the Ghana Premier League is heating up with just two matches left to play for the campaign to come to an end.


After months of exciting action in the Ghanaian top-flight league, the campaign is gradually approaching its climax this month.

With 32 matches played so far, as many as seven teams risk relegation, although only three will ultimately suffer the drop.

Currently, Real Tamale United (31 points), Bofoakwa Tano (33 points), and Great Olympics (39 points) are the teams in the relegation zone.

While Real Tamale United and Bofoakwa Tano have no chance of avoiding relegation, staying up is still possible for Great Olympics.

Two wins in the last two matches of the Ghana Premier League could save the Olympics from relegation, should the teams above them drop points.

The teams that could be relegated for dropping points in the last two matches of the season include Karela United, Dreams FC, Heart of Lions, and Hearts of Oak.
