In a tightly contested Week 32 Ghana Premier League match, Legon Cities triumphed over Bofoakwa Tano with a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
The victory marked a return to winning ways for Legon Cities, who were in 12th position with 41 points before the match, while Bofoakwa Tano languished in 17th place with 33 points.
Both teams initially fought to control the midfield, but it was midfielder Mohammed Alidu who broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, giving Legon Cities the lead. Despite several attempts from Bofoakwa Tano, Legon Cities maintained their advantage throughout the game.
Substitutions were made in the 72nd minute, with Joseph Mereku and William Adjei coming in for Stephen Bruce-Tagoe and Frederick Akatuk, respectively. The match concluded after four minutes of additional time.
Next, Legon Cities will face Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium, while Bofoakwa Tano will host Berekum Chelsea.
