Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko concluded the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against the relegated Bofoakwa Tano on Sunday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors cruised to a 3-1 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 34 of the domestic top-flight season.

Striker Kalo Ouattara opened the scoring for Kotoko just one minute into the game, followed by midfielder Yahaya Baba, who doubled the team's advantage.

At the 33-minute mark, youngster Peter Amidu Acquah found the back of the net, securing victory for the hosts before the halftime break.

Bofoakwa Tano managed to pull one back at the 72-minute mark through Aihassan Ali.

The Porcupine Warriors achieved back-to-back wins against Bofoakwa Tano in the recently concluded campaign.

At the end of the league season, the record Ghana Premier League holders placed in sixth position, accumulating 49 points.

They finished just one point behind Aduana Stars and Nsoatreman FC, who secured the 4th and 5th positions in the league standings, respectively.

On the other hand, Bofoakwa Tano finished 17th on the league table with 33 points, confirming their relegation from the top flight.
