Ghana is poised to participate in the eagerly awaited 2024 Olympic Games 4×100 Men's Relay Race with the lineup having officially been announced.

As reported by citinewsroom.com, World Athletics has released the list of qualifying teams, with Ghana being one of the four African nations set to compete.

Joining Ghana to represent the African continent are fellow West African countries, Nigeria and Liberia, along with South Africa.

Although Ghana's men's team has qualified, the women's team did not secure a spot, with Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire being the female representatives for Africa.

The Ghanaian men's relay team, comprising Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Ibrahim Fuseini, clinched their Olympic berth by triumphing in their heat at the World Relays held in the Bahamas, clocking in at 38.29 seconds.

Amoah and Azamati were part of the team that represented Ghana in the 2020 Olympics 4×100 Men's Relay Final, alongside Sean Safo-Antwi and Emmanuel Yeboah, finishing in seventh place.

Italy and Canada, having finished first and second respectively, are also confirmed to compete in this year's Olympic race.
