Retired Ghanaian sprinter, Leonard Myles Mills, is optimistic about Ghana's relay team making the country proud in the Men’s 4x100m event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The team, consisting of Joseph Paul Amoah, Benjamin Azamati, Ibrahim Fuseini, and Isaac Botsio, will be representing Ghana on the world stage.

Four years ago, the team was disqualified because of a baton changeover outside the permitted zone.

However, after gaining enough experience at the Commonwealth Games and African Games, Mills is confident that the team will make significant strides.

“I don’t see anything stopping us other than ourselves because one single mistake can bring down everything.”

“My goal for them is to make the final and anything can happen from there because on paper they are ranked 7th and they have been together since 2019 so they can do it,” Mills said on Happy Sports.

Ghana's relay team will have their turn at the Paris Olympic Games on August 8, 2024.
