The Black Stars failed to win their second successive 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Niger scored late to hold Ghana to a 1-1 draw at the Municipal Stadium in Morocco.

The draw follows an earlier 1-0 defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Here’s how each player is rated out of 10:
Lawrence Ati-Zigi – 3

The St. Gallen man failed to organize his players during a corner situation, which eventually resulted in the scrappy goal.

Alidu Seidu – 6

Seidu performed adequately as a left-back and took the initiative to shoot, resulting in Ghana taking the lead. It was his first goal for Ghana.

Tariq Lamptey – 4

The right-back showed some bravery and made important challenges, which was unexpected given his limited playing time this season.

Mohammed Salisu – 5

The Monaco central defender took responsibility for the back line and was commanding throughout the game.

Abdul Mumin – 3.5

Mumin delivered an average performance, similar to the entire team, and engaged in challenges as he usually does.

Thomas Partey – 4

The captain was okay but did not provide enough leadership to inspire his team to victory.

Majeed Ashimeru – 4

Ashimeru did not impact the game as much as the coach would have hoped and was substituted after 70 minutes.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku – 3

Struggled to create anything meaningful throughout his time on the pitch.

Antoine Semenyo – 3

The Bournemouth player struggled to carry the ball effectively and misplaced several passes.

Mohammed Kudus – 4.5

The West Ham winger created the goal but failed in most of his dribbling attempts, as he was often crowded by opponents.

Inaki Williams – 3

Williams had some through balls, including one he should have converted before Alidu Seidu’s goal.
