The National Paralympic Committee (NPC), has selected 23 athletes for the final phase of preparations for the 2015 All Africa Games (AAG), in Congo.
The list was arrived at after a nationwide trials, which ended at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium early this week.
According to the technical director of NPC, Sesi Dzakpasu, the list is made up of Rapheal Botyso Nkegbe, Patrick Obeng, Iddi Hafiz, Emmanuel Yaw Boateng, Gafar Hussein, Abubakari Yakubu, Felix Acheampong, Maclean Dzidzienyo and Frederick Assor
Also included are Jacob Arthur Sam, Favor Ayiglo, Beaty Fiator, Peter Abiola, Charles Teye-Narh
Richard Okra, Vida Antwi, Emmanuel Abbang, Amadu Yussif, Suweiba Alhassan
Zinabu Issah, Wasila Baba, Rosemary Akorli and Godfred Opoku Kissi.
The athletes will engage in Wheelchair Racing, Blind Athletics, Javelin, Discus and Powerlifting at the competition.
Dzakpasu said the team is waiting for approval from the National Sports Authority (NSA), to commence residential camping.
According to him the team will fine tune their preparations during the residential camping and was confident they will make a positive impact at the competition.
