Accra, Dec. 1, GNA - The Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA) on Monday, presented certificates to 25 coaches who participated in a Level I coaching course held at the Winneba Sports College. The one-week course was organised by the GVA in conjunction with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Dr. Rostilav Voralek, a Czech and an FIVB senior Instructor, was the resource person for the programme participated by coaches from the educational sector.
Mr Erasmus Adorkor, General Secretary of the GVA, told the GNA Sports that the exercise was to enhance the skills coaches to promote the sport at the basic level of education.
He said the exercise would enable the nation produce quality players for the national team.
Among the coaches who received the certificates were Diana Aboor, Addah Agnes, Adenyoh Vivatus, Joseph Agbenyeke, Maud Addo, Rose Mawuse Afetornku, Simon Peter Ansongletuo, Rev. Seth Kwadzo Agbale, Alice Appau-Adjoboa, Kwame Gyan Boama, Samuel Nana Amoah and Gilbert Gbortsu. Others were Favour Sena Ablorsu, Charles Tachie-Mensah, Alexander Kow Makoe, Henry Nii Sackey and David Copperfield Delawu-Atsu.
The rest were Bawa Abass, Edward K. Bawa-Faa, Sam Solomon Essel, Danny D. Akortsu, Dickson Venunye Fugar, Ada A.K. Adzokpa, Emmanuel Lawoekpor and George Ohene-Benchie.
