Finidi George was officially unveiled as the head coach of the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation on Monday, May 13.
The 53-year-old was introduced at a ceremony held at the NFF's secretariat in Abuja.
His unveiling comes after his appointment on April 29 as the successor to Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro, whom he served as an assistant for 20 months.
The event also saw the announcement of his much-awaited backroom staff, including former internationals Daniel Amokachi and Abideen Baruwa.
Chima Onyeike, Mehmet Ozturk, and Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman complete the list of four assistants for the former Real Betis forward.
According to reports, Finidi George will receive a salary of $45,000. However, his assistants have a pay-per-game arrangement. The agreement covers all four of his assistants, including the three foreigners.
As part of his contract, he will also be provided a house of his choice anywhere in Nigeria.
He also gets to enjoy a car and a driver who will chauffeur him around as the NFF Chief, Ibrahim Gusau, says his comfort is paramount.
His first official game in charge will be against South Africa's Bafana Bafana on June 7, followed by another clash against Benin Republic a few days later.
He has been tasked with qualifying the Super Eagles for the next World Cup, scheduled for Canada, Mexico, and the USA.
