Exactly a year today, the closest friend of the skipper for the Black Stars disappeared
On 6th July, 2014 hip-life artiste, Castro whose real name is Theophilus Tagoe was reported missing after trying to rescue a drowning lady Janet Bandu, who accompanied him and some other friends including the Asamoah Gyan to the Ghanaian coastal town of Ada.
It has been exactly one year since Castro, went missing, and his fans, friends and family are still hopeful the musician is alive.
Castro and a female friend, Janet Bandu, went missing on July 6, 2014 while surfing the waves at Ada in the Greater Accra Region.
Frantic search by the Marine Police to find the two who suspected drowned, did not yield any results as there was no trace of their bodies.
In a statement published on Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan’s website, Castro’s friends and family intimated they still pray for their brother.
“It has been a year of prayer and keeping hopes alive. We still pray for strength and fortitude for the Police and all related agencies as they continue the search.
“We pray for strength for the affected families. We pray for good news. Amen,” read the statement posted by the president of the Asamoah Gyan foundation, Samuel Anim Addo.
