President of the Ghana Judo Federation Emmanuel Tetteh has lavished praises on the medal winning Judokas in the just ended All Africa Games.
Tetteh commended the entire Judokas for raising high the flag of Ghana despite dropping outside the medal zone.
The ambitious Judokas managed two bronze medals in the 60 and 63 categories by Emmanuel Nartey and Sarah respectively.
The federation president bemoaned the lack of exposure to some of the Judokas and the technical crew of his federation at the continental multi-faceted sporting gathering.
He told sports crusader, “I want to comment the entire team for their gallant fight. I am looking at how to develop my technical team for the future as well. Without good and a technical team we can’t win a gold medal. We need to have our own referees among those who officiates the matches.
The entire team did very well. All the athletes reached the quarter finals except one of them. Also, they were eliminated by more experienced Judokas who went on to win gold medals at the tournament. I don’t blame the Judokas for it is the first outing for some of them after the common wealth game in Glasgow.”
