AFCON 2015 Qualifiers: Black Stars begin training Tuesday

The senior national men’s soccer team, the Black Stars, will begin preparation for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next Tuesday.

Twenty-four players were invited for the doubleheader against Uganda and Togo.

As per the schedule released by the Ghana Football Association on Friday, the 24 players will begin arriving on Monday, September 1.

The players will hold their first training session on Tuesday at 3:30pm.

The Stars are scheduled to play the Cranes on Saturday, September 6 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi before travelling to Lome to take on the Hawks on Wednesday, September 10.

Ghana is in Group E with Guinea as well.

The Stars' match against the Ugandans will be the first since the 2014 FIFA World Cup early exit.
