The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced dates for Ghana's games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to the dates, the Black Stars will open their qualifying campaign at home against Angola on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

They will travel for their second fixture against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024, before completing the first round in October when they host Sudan on the 7th.

Ghana was placed in Group F with Angola, Sudan, and Niger for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in July 2024.

The Black Stars will face former head coach Kwesi Appiah, who is currently with Sudan, and also face Angola for the second time in a row in AFCON qualifiers.

Angola manager Pedro Gonçalves, speaking ahead of the game, asserted that a lot happened the last time his team played the Black Stars in Kumasi, without being emphatic.

Hence, he demanded that CAF "open their eyes" and ensure that the next meeting between the two countries in Kumasi is competed fairly.

"Both games in the last qualifiers were very balanced, so I guess we have our chances this time. I hope we will have a good game in Kumasi because the last time, a lot of things happened, so I hope CAF opens their eyes. A lot happened, and Ghana doesn’t need to be in that situation. I am hoping for a fair match, and in the end, we will see who’s going to win," he told Ghanasportspage.com.
