The Black Stars began preparations in Accra on Monday afternoon ahead of their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius next week.
Coach Avram Grant supervised day one of the team’s session at the Accra Sports Stadium with just 18 out of the 23 players called taking part in the exercise.
Goalkeeper Razak Braimah alongside Daniel Amartey, Alfred Duncan, Thomas Teye Partey and Edwin Gyimah were they players missing in the non-residential camp.
The absentees are expected to join their teammates for Tuesday’s session at the same venue.
Ghana is currently leading Group H of the AFCON qualifiers and a win or a draw against Mauritius will ensure qualification to the tournament which will be staged in Gabon.
