Abedi & Addo in Final Stretch of FA chief race

THE GHANAIAN government are apparently set to nominate their two representatives for the Ghana Football Association chairmanship seat.

As the Executive Council of the FA awaits the nominations, the latest personalities linked to the position are, Ghanaian soccer legend, Abedi Ayew Pele who still remains a strong favourite as one of governments nominations, and Mr Maxwell Addo, treasurer of defending league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak.

However, some club representatives have expressed their dissatisfaction about Abedi Pele's expected nomination after the former player had been quoted to have said in Abidjan that, the President, J.A. Kufuor wants him to take up a position in football administration in the country.

If they are nominated together it would give the former Black Stars skipper the chance in becoming the next FA boss if the Executive Council's members don't reject the government's two nominations.
