Former Ghana international Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’ is very hopeful that his son Jordan Ayew will return to scoring ways soon.
The football legend said the striker’s recent goal drought “is normal in football” and will find his “rhythm” soon.
Young Ayew had to force a loan move from Olympique Marseille to Sochaux in January due to a dip in form, but he is still struggling to find his foot under former Zambia coach Herve Renard.
His father is unperturbed and has served notice that it shall be well with his son soon.
“It is normal in football,” Abedi told the Daily Guide. “Once in a while a player goes through such difficult times.”
He added: “But in time, those difficult moments would be over and he will rediscover his rhythm. He has started scoring, the lean season will soon be over.”
The 22-year-old has netted once since he switched to Sochaux in their 2-0 win over Bordeaux and saw red last weekend.
