Ex-Black Stars captain Abedi Ayew Pele has sent a goodwill message to newly appointed Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah.
The 3-time African footballer of the year is of the view that Ghana Football Association (GFA) handed him the job because they have confidence in him hence called on all and sundry to support Kwesi Appiah to deliver.
"I wish him well. The people who appointed him believes he can do the job that's why they appointed him. All we can do now is to back him to succeed". The legend said.
Kwesi Appiah was given the nod to handle the Black Stars once more after he " impressed " the 6-member panel that was set up by the FA to select the next Black Stars coach following Avram Grant's exit after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. ( AFCON)
Kwesi Appiah arrived in Ghana last Thursday to commence second stint with the Black Stars and the "Maestro" has called on Ghanaians to support his former mate in his quest to win laurels for Ghana.
The former Al Khartoum coach has been given a two year mandate to qualify Ghana to the 2018 World Cup and also win the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon
He officially begins working on 1st May
