Newly signed Dreams FC forward Abel Manomey says he settled on the club because of the lure of the team’s project and the offer of a fresh challenge.
Manomey has joined the premier league side on a two year deal and he’s expected to make his bow when football returns after the CoronaVirus crisis.
The former Great Olympics goal poacher put his career on hold to further his education at the University College of Education, Winneba.
Manomey says upon deciding to reactivate his career, he had offers from a couple of clubs, including his former side.
He however says after broad consultations, he was won over by Dreams FC due to their approach and what was on offer.
“Well I think the first one was the approach…because maybe they felt that I could be important to the team at this time of the season”.
“What they put on the table was also a factor”.
“And then I had to also do consultations, because I had already spoken to lots of clubs, I had a verbal agreement with Olympics”.
“But after consultations, everyone agreed that I needed a fresh environment, a fresh challenge and that was what changes everything”, he told Citi Sports.
