Accam close to Moscow move; confirms Helsingborg exit

Ghana attacker David Accam is closing to joining Russian giants CSKA Moscow as talks have advanced between the player’s representatives and the Russian Premier League outfit.

Accam confirmed on Sunday on GHANAsoccernet.com and GTV Sports Plus’ Top11 show he will be leaving the Swedish giants, but failed to disclose his next destination.

“What I can say is that I’m leaving Helsingborg IF for now, but I can’t say where I’m going for now,” he said.

GHANAsoccernet.com checks have revealed the player is set to join the Russian Premier League side in the coming weeks, but a Mexican side is also on the sidelines seeking to scupper the move.

Accam, who was voted Helsingborg IF player of the season and finished second best player in the Swedish Allsvenskan, netted 23 times in all competitions for Helsingborg in the just ended Swedish season.

He is capped once by Ghana.
