Cape Coast, Oct. 3, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak played a more purposeful game to beat Feyenoord Academy 1-0 in their Premier League match at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Sunday. Hearts of Oak paraded their top players including Bernard Don Bortey, Lawrence Adjei, Emmanuel Osei Kufour, Wisdom Abbey and Adjah Tetteh but they were marched squarely by the youthful lads of Feyenoord for the duration of the first half.
Hearts assumed full control of the match in the second half and forced their opponents to play in their own half for greater part of the game. It therefore came as no surprise when centre forward, Wisdom Abbey capitalized on a defensive blunder by the home team to score the match winner in the 50th minute.
In the dying minutes of the game, Feyenoord forced the tide in their favour making frantic efforts to equalize but try as they did they could not find the net until the end of full time.
