Accra Hearts of Oak have been eliminated from the GHALCA G6 tournament after losing 1-0 to Medeama SC on Friday.
The Rainbow Club failed to progress to the finals after they were penalized by referee Dally Gagba who awarded a penalty to Medeama in the 74th minute after Hearts defender Philip Boampong brought down an opponent in the 18-yard box.
Medeama SC midfielder Malik Akowuah expertly converted his kick to record the only goal of the match which eventually earned his side the 3 maximum points.
The result however sees Hearts crash out of the preseason competition which comes to an end on Sunday.
Medeama will now have to secure just a draw in their next game against Aduana Stars to book a place at the finals of the GHALCA G6 competition.
