Acosty out for two months

Modena have stated that their winger Maxwell Boadu Acosty, who is on loan from Fiorentina, is out for eight weeks with a knee injury.

Acosty is reported by the club to have injured his proximal tendon of the pectineus muscle in his right thigh during training and the scan has revealed that he needs about two months to recover.

The 23-year-old, who was once linked with Fulham and Sunderland, was beginning to warm himself in the fold of the Stadio Alberto Braglia side having netted three league goals before his injury.

The player who is efficient on the wings and as a striker made his Serie A debut for Fiorentina in January 2012, but has failed to cement a place. He was subsequently loaned to Juve Stabia, Chievo Verona and Carpri last season.
