Chiefs in the Ada traditional area have hailed the exploits of Christian Atsu Tswasam in the ongoing AFCON 2015 tournament. They were so excited about his two goals he scored against Guinea last Sunday and were happy his goals has propelled the Black Stars into the semi finals of the competition.
In a statement, they congratulated the Black Stars and the entire technical and management team for taking the team to reach as far as the semis. They urged the team to fight on to bring home the AFCON trophy to Ghana.
“We are so happy about the exploits of the Ghana Black Stars in as far Equatorial Guinea. They surprised most of us especially with the way they started the tournament. Now they are gradually bringing back our confidence in them. For our son Tswasam (Christian Atsu) he has made us proud and we are so happy about him. He has raised the image of the Ada and the entire Dangme land so high and we are happy about his achievement so far. We pray that they win the tournament and bring the cup with the entire team to Ada so that we could have a real feel of the cup and the Black stars. Who knows one day he can become a developmental chief for the people of Ada to serve as a motivation for the youth in the Dangmeland” the statement said.
They also commended the exploits of other players from the Dangmeland such as C.K Ackunor, Mussah Narri, Bernard Kumorji and many others who have worked so hard to pave the way for the young ones and have urged the youth in the district to work so hard to emulate the exploits of Atsu and the other predecessors since the Dangmeland abound with so many football talents.

Christian Atsu Twasam (born 10 January 1992) plays for English club Everton on loan from Chelsea and the Ghanaian national team, as a left winger. He was Born in Ada Foah, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
Atsu arrived at F.C. Porto at the age of 17, finishing his football formation with the club. On 14 May 2011, he was called by first-team manager André Villas-Boas for a top division match against C.S. Marítimo, but eventually did not leave the bench in a 2–0 away win.
As teammate Kelvin, Atsu was sent on loan to fellow league side Rio Ave F.C. for the 2011–12 season. He made his debut in the competition on 28 August 2011, in a 0–1 home loss against S.C. Olhanense.
On 16 December 2011 Atsu opened the score at S.L. Benfica in the 24th minute, but the hosts eventually won it 5–1.
He returned to Porto for the 2012–13 campaign, starting in nine of his league appearances as the northerners won the national championship for the third consecutive time.
On 1 September 2013 Atsu agreed to join Chelsea on a five-year contract, for a reported £3.5 million.
He was imminently loaned to Dutch club Vitesse, for the rest of the 2013-14 season. He played 30
games for Vitesse and scored 5 goals as Vitesse finished 6th in the league and qualified to the playoffs.
On 13 August 2014, Atsu joined Everton on loan until the end of the 2014–15 season. Atsu made his first appearance for The Toffees coming on as an 81st minute substitute in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Atsu won his first senior cap for Ghana on 1 June 2012 against Lesotho, scoring in the process. He was described by the BBC as an "excellent prospect", whilst ESPN added he was "quick and technically impressive", and a potential future star for his national team.
Atsu was selected for the 2014 FIFA World Cup squad, starting in all the matches Ghana played.
