Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey is set to end his long absence from the Black Stars team after being named by Coach Avram Grant for the team’s Cup of Nation’s qualifier against Mozambique. Ghana Sports Newspaper has reported.

Kwarasey was included in a list of 23 players submitted by the Israeli trainer.

The 27-year-old was among three goalkeepers for the big game at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 24.

The Norwegian Born Ghanaian has been out of the team for more than a year following an alleged rift with Black Stars goalkeepers trainer Nasamu Yakubu.

The US-based gloves-man who last featured for the team in 2014 turned down an offer from Grant during the team’s international friendly with Canada in October last year.

Reports however indicate Kwarasey has agreed to return to the team after 18 months.

The former Stromgodset has been Ghana’s best goalkeeper Abroad in recent times finishing the MLS as the goalkeeper with most clean sheets.
