David Addy is hopeful of earning regular playing time at FC Porto as he heads back to the Portuguese champions after his loan spell at Academica Combria.
The Ghana international made a huge impact during his time on loan but with Porto set to return for next season’s Champions League, Addy knows there is some hardwork to done to break into Andre Villas-Boas' side who are into the Europa League Final and claimed the Portuguese Super Cup before winning the league unbeaten with five games to spare.
"I am ready to go back but regular football means a lot to me so we will see how it goes. I want to play regularly and I will give everything to do that at Porto," Addy says.
Addy explains that his performances at Academica has given him more confidence as he reviewed his campaign on loan.
“It was a little rough in the middle of the season when I got my second red card but it went good and has helped me show what I am capable of doing. It has helped my self confidence and my game tremendously to,” the left-back said.
