Adiembra Senior High School emerged victorious in both the Boys' and Girls' soccer competitions of the 2024 Schools and Colleges Sports Federation Sekondi Zone.

In an inspiring display, the school, buoyed by the talent of young goalkeeper Shaibu Rafique from Ghana Premier League side Samartex, clinched a 2-0 win against Shama SHS in the boys' final at the Gyandu Park on Friday.

Their journey to glory included a remarkable come-from-behind 2-1 triumph over Daboase SHTS in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Daboase Senior High Technical School secured third place, edging past Diabene SHS with a second-half penalty to claim a 1-0 victory and the bronze medal.

In the Girls' final, Adiembra once again proved their dominance by defeating Shama SHS 1-0 to clinch the championship title.

Fijai secured the third-place medal with a resounding 4-0 victory over Daboase in a one-sided encounter.

The Sekondi Zone's sporting festivities will reach their pinnacle next week with the Hand Games scheduled for May 6-7, 2024, followed by the Athletics competition on May 9-10, 2024.
