The coach of Middlesbrough Aitor Karanka has tasked Ghana international Albert Adomah to form part of an attacking trio alongside Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford and Kike.
The manager wants 20 goals each from Bamford and Kike and for Adomah to chip in with a dozen.
“Last season we had Adomah as top scorer, and this season I would like to have Adomah with 10 or 12 goals, Kike with 20 and Bamford with 20,” Karanka told the club’s website. “I know how important Patrick Bamford would also be to us.”
“I want Patrick because his best position is a striker and he can score a lot of goals. Last season I think he scored 26 goals, 18 at MK Dons and eight for Derby in 18 games.
“We need to have players who can score goals,” Karanka stated.
Last season the Ghanaian who featured at the World Cup netted 14 goals from the flanks and was his club's best player and top scorer in the campaign.
